About the author


John Lees is one of the UK's best known career coaches and authors. How To Get A Job You'll Love has twice been WH Smith's `Business Book of the Month' and regularly tops the list as the best-selling careers book by a British author.

 

John specialises in helping people make difficult career decisions ' difficult because they don't know what to do next, or because there are barriers in the way of success. He has delivered workshops in the USA, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand and regularly speaks at UK events (Forum3, One Life Live) and has also featured as a speaker at the world's largest international career conferences in the USA.

 

He writes regularly for The Times, The Guardian and has a regular column in People Management. His work has been featured on Channel 4's `Dispatches' and on BBC 2's Working Lunch and he regularly provides insights into the world of work on radio and in a publications including Management Today, The Sunday Times, Daily Express, Daily Mirror, Psychologies, Eve and She.

 

John is a graduate of the universities of Cambridge, London and Liverpool and has spent most of his career focusing on the world of work. He has trained recruitment specialists since the mid-1980s and is the former Chief Executive of the Institute of Employment Consultants (now the Recruitment & Employment Confederation, REC).
