Straight forward way to learn and undertand the key provisions of the Equality Act
This 10 minute video briefing explains the key provisions of the Equality Act and offers good practical guidance on working effectively with the legislation.
Briefing description
The Equality Act legally protects people from harassment, victimisation and discrimination in the workplace and in wider society on the grounds of certain ‘protected characteristics’.
These are: age, race, disability, religion or belief, gender, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership and sexual orientation.
Using a combination of drama and commentary from leading psychologists and equality and diversity experts, this briefing looks at the key provisions of the Act and how organisations can use their legal obligations as a springboard to create truly inclusive working environments, enable staff to achieve their potential and to deliver excellent service to customers.

This briefing will give employees of all types but especially managers a better understanding of:
